5 Types of Pressure Washer Attachment

Pressure washing techniques have become very useful with the variety of available attachments dramatically improving the ability to clean various residential and commercial surfaces with just this simple tool.  The different types of attachment help to enhance what a pressure washer can do in the same way that vacuum cleaner attachments can transform one practical machine into so many others so that you won’t need to have several machines to do different, very specific jobs.

With that in mind, lets take a look at the many basic types of Unimanix.com pressure washing attachments. Keep in mind: each of these categories also often have subcategories that can further diversify the capabilities of a standard pressure washer.

TURBO and ROTARY PRESSURE WASHER NOZZLE ATTACHMENTS

Turbo and rotary nozzle attachments can adjust the power setting, adjusting to a circular spray pattern. This setup can magnify the pressure washer cleaning power as well as provide different settings to handle many other cleaning applications that you can use with the pressure washer.

SPRAY NOZZLE PRESSURE WASHER ATTACHMENTS

In general, spray nozzles allow more control over a direct flow of water to give you a wider fanning spray.  These nozzles have different classifications, designated by a four or a five digit number, which is stamped on the nozzle.  The first two numbers of this classification designate the degree of spray angle; the last two numbers designate the actual nozzle opening’s standard orifice number.  It is important to remember that the gallons used per minute (flow) is not indicated in any of these digits.

TRIGGER GUNS PRESSURE WASHER ATTACHMENTS

These light-weight attachments allow for pinpoint accuracy when directing the pressure washer nozzle.  Trigger guns are best suited for use on larger areas as many of them come with interlocking devices (which can further diversify their abilities).  The additional attachments become particularly useful when you want to use hot water since these trigger guns can actually handle water temperatures up to 300 degrees F, which protects your hands.

TELESCOPIC/EXTENSION WAND PRESSURE WASHER ATTACHMENTS

Pressure washer extension wands simply provide one simple extension for better reach.  Telescoping wands allow for various degrees of extension. These tools let you reach high or out-of-the-way spots to maximize your cleaning efficiency.

PRESSUR WASHER GAUGES and THERMOSTATS

Various gauges allow you to view the pressure buildup inside the pressure washer, which can be helpful for monitoring the potential for internal pump damages or pressure spikes.  Obviously, thermostats ensure you maintain an appropriate and safe temperature.
