4 Simple Ways to Make A Big Home Renovation Impact

Remodeling a home can seem like a big job but there are ways you can shrink down the scope of the work without sacrificing the quality of the investment.  With that in mind, here are four approaches to Renovco home renovation in which the work is a bit minimal but can still yield quite the excellent results.

It might not seem like much but simply adding a fresh, even coat of paint to the walls of your kitchen (or any room, really) can make a world of difference.  By default, your kitchen walls might be white but that doesn’t mean they have to stay that way! Consider other colors to change the mood and make the space more inviting to prepare and share a meal!  Choose colors/tones for every room in the house and be sure to consider how sunlight might catch a particularly way at different times of the day.

Many kitchens come with vinyl or linoleum flooring.  This makes sense as it is pretty easy to clean.  But you might want to consider hardwood floors in your kitchen.  As a matter of fact, your home might have been designed with hardwood floors and you just have to pull up the tile or carpet to find it.  A continuous hardwood floor is particularly gorgeous in a home with an open floor plan.

Sometimes it is the little things that really make all the difference. In this case—your home remodel—we are talking about doors and trim (and perhaps windows and window trim too).   A new, sturdy front door could really update your home’s appearance but you should also look at trim, the garage door, and more elements like this.

As mentioned above (in the section about paint) it might be a good idea to go about remodeling each room on a one by one basis.  After you replace your kitchen appliances, for example, perhaps you want to simply repaint a bedroom or do a little plumbing work in the bathroom.  There are lots of little things you can do from room to room that could make a big aesthetic, functional, or even financial impact. From lighting to plumbing to trimmings to paint, there are lots of ways to update each room for maximum effect.
